Lewis & Clark
Corps of Discovery

LC - 001
"In 1804, President Jefferson commissioned Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to lead an expedition to the Pacific. With an intrepid group of 43, they conquered the Rockies, made friendly contact with many tribes and gained the Pacific."

The card for this, our main image, gives basic information about the Expedition.

MT: Order LC - 002
OR: Order LC - 003
WA: Order LC - 004
Dakota: Order LC - 0010
Our exclusive Lewis & Clark image with the imprint of any of the following states: Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

Each state card features a Journal quote from that regional area.

IDAHO, birthplace of Sacajawea, celebrates the Lewis and Clark bicentennial with this image of Sacajewea guiding the Corps of Discovery through Idaho. She was pivotal to the success of the party, a woman with the group being a sign of peaceful intent.

LC - 005

“Only fifteen years of age at the expedition’s beginning, this young Shoshone woman did everything that the rest of the group did and more, while packing a baby on her back!”

The card continues to discuss Sacajawea’s contributions.

LC - 009
Over the Rockies

This card features excerpts from the Journals about the crossing of the Rockies.

LC - 007
Down the Columbia

“…This great river is compressed into a channel between two rocks no exceeding 45 yards… from the top of the rock did not appear as bad as when I was in it…”

The card for this design features quotes on the mighty Columbia.

Up the Missouri

“I had a view of a greater number of buffalow then I had seen before at one time…”

A quote from Lewis’ Journal regarding buffalo which graces the card this design is mounted upon.
